Why I Built This

I'm Joseph Magen, and I built MakeItKnown because I lived this problem.

I was helping organizations get their video content out to their communities. Every time someone published a new video, I'd have to manually grab the thumbnail, write up a description, format an email, update the website. It was mind-numbing work that took hours every week.

I thought: why isn't there a tool that just does this automatically? Connect a YouTube channel, and everything else happens on its own. A branded video site that stays updated. Email newsletters that go out when new content drops. Transcripts that make videos searchable.

I couldn't find it, so I built it.
